Alpha International School conducted its grand annual function “Samrajya: Vikramaditya to Vishwaguru” comprising a magnificent two-hour theatrical presentation that inspired the audience with India’s rich period of kings and leaders of yore.
An enchanted audience of 320 participants showcased the contributions of Vikramaditya, Chandra Gupta Maurya, Samrat Ashoka, Harsh Vardhan, Raja Bhoj, Maharana Pratap, Chhatrapati Shivaji, Raja Chaula, Krishnadev, Prithviraj Chauhan, Hakka Bakka, Rani Laxmibai, Ahalyabai, Durgabai, Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Subhash Chandra Bose, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Narendra Modi and other luminaries.
The event artistically expressed the metamorphosis of leadership in India, bravely embracing the ancient kings and transitioning to the modern leaders, embodying the “Vikramaditya to Vishwaguru” vision.
The students, in every regard, shaped the performance. Passionately portraying their parts, they also conducted the voice acting for their characters, capturing each and every sentiment of the production.
The participants acquired essential life skills, such as the ability to collaborate with others, communicate effectively, perform confidently in front of an audience, conduct research, express ideas creatively and perform as unsung heroes of the Indian cultural and historical heritage.
“Samrajya” was not just a performance. The audience left the show inspired and grateful to the young performers who portrayed the glorious past of India.
